Flight Pathway · Pilot Cohort

A clearer route toward a private pilot certificate.

CPVAA’s Flight Pathway helps aspiring Cape Verdean aviators understand the process, build a realistic plan, and move forward with practical guidance and community support.

Where the pathway begins

Turn aviation interest into a practical next step.

The private-pilot journey can feel difficult to understand before training even begins. CPVAA helps students make sense of the medical, training options, study requirements, realistic costs, and decisions ahead.

This pilot is not a flight school or scholarship program. It is a structured guidance and mentorship pathway that develops alongside the students it serves.

How it works

One request. Five practical stages.

Each student’s route will be different, but every conversation should lead to a clear next action.

01

Request

Complete the Student Guidance form or connect with CPVAA through a school or community referral.

02

Intake

We learn about your aviation goal, current stage, location, readiness, and the barriers you are trying to navigate.

03

Connect

Based on your needs and volunteer availability, we may connect you with a mentor, study group, or practical flight-school guidance.

04

Support

Students can receive resources, accountability, realistic expectations, and periodic check-ins while they work toward the next milestone.

05

Track

Together, we identify progress made, the next useful action, and where CPVAA may continue to help.
